Long-term support provided for SuiteCRM Version 7.8.7

With over 500,000 downloads, SuiteCRM is the world’s most award-winning and successful open source CRM system. The free license CRM system is continuously being developed and improved by an international community with more than 33,000 active members. As a result, new, upgraded SuiteCRM versions are available at regular intervals. However, in order to ensure long-term support for individual SuiteCRM versions and to ensure the necessary stability and continuity in their use, a long-term support (LTS) strategy has been developed and published.

This LTS strategy states that, for selected main SuiteCRM versions, support will be guaranteed for the long term, i.e. at least 21 months, including such things as bug fixes, security fixes, or potential browser adaptations that may become necessary. In addition, a constantly up-to-date schedule is available which graphically depicts all planned releases and their support period to help give uses long-term planning security for SuiteCRM upgrades and support.
Although more recent versions (7.9.x) of SuiteCRM are already available, most of which consist of changes to the email functionality, SuiteCRM 7.8.7 is the most recent version for which long-term support is ensured. We also recommend that our customers use this version for new installations or upgrades. SuiteCRM version 7.8.7 is also based on the most recently published SuiteASSURED, which meets specific compliance requirements, such as patent rights, intellectual property rights, and software guarantees. Unlike SuiteCRM, however, this special version does require the payment of a licensing fee.
